I’ve always felt a bit hesitant to ask for financial support, but sometimes I have to set my pride aside and reach out to the wonderful people who believe in me and my stories.

Being an indie author means I handle all the financial responsibilities of publishing myself. From editing and cover design to formatting, copyright registration, marketing, and ordering author copies, the costs add up quickly.

Sure, I could try querying traditional publishers and, if I got lucky, they would cover those expenses. However, they would also take a significant portion of my royalties and likely ask me to change my story. I don’t want anyone telling me how to tell my story just because it might not be "trendy" enough, nor do I want to be told I’m using too much Spanish. I value my creative freedom and owning the rights to my work above all else, which is why I’ve chosen this path.

It isn’t the easiest route, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Any donation you provide would help immensely in bringing Book 2 to life. And also making When Darkness Falls into an audiobook and translating it into Spanish. So my parents can finally be able to read what their daughter wrote.
